He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Berkenbile and Fannie Lucy Berkenbile (Joyce); his wife Alice Russell; his son Benjamin Berkenbile; and his sisters, Nancy Fink and Lucy Berkenbile.
He is survived by: his children, Dave, Cathy Berkenbile of Edwardsville, IL, Alan, Kim Berkenbile of Worden, IL, Chris and Cassandra Berkenbile of Spring Hill, TN.; his grandchildren, Lily, Vyla, Ava, Nick, Emily, Jackson, Everly and Adalynn Berkenbile; his brother Leo; his sister-in-law Freny Berkenbile II; and his sister Judy Waken of Skiatook, OK.. He is also survived by friends, including his three sons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse International Relief, reflecting David's lifelong dedication to helping others.
