He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Fred Klopmeier and Hilda Klopmeier (Diepholz); his wife Mary F. Walter; his son Paul Klopmeier; and his siblings, Ernest Klopmeier and Mable Helmkamp.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Klopmeier (Judy) of Edwardsville, Susan Johnson (Joe) of Affton, MO, Helen Klopmeier (Bill Martin) of High Ridge, MO and Lori Moblo (John) of Kimberling City, MO; and his grandchildren, Amy Gauen, Jonathan Knoche, Jessie Englemann, Amanda Leutzinger and Sara Schaefer. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
The family requested memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
