He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Overstreet and Thelma Overstreet (Bradley); his siblings, Lowell "Jack" Overstreet and Mary Lou White (Overstreet); and his nephew Robert "Bob" White.

He is survived by: his son William Overstreet Jr.; and his cousins, Delores and James Overstreet. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.
