He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Dittman and Laverne Dittman; his wife Yvonne Dittman; his son William Carl Dittman; and his siblings, Mary Klabunde, Nancy Bastien, Patricia Riley, Gerald Edward "Butch" Dittman and Peggy Rossman.

He is survived by: his children, Carol Hrncar (Steve), Ray Dittman (Valli), Michael Dittman (Kelly), Terry Dittman (Tina) and Connie Wightman (Steve Brown); and his grandchildren, Brittany Vos of Charles John, Wightman, Loren Dittman, Elizabeth Bail, Abbey Guzman, Josh Farrell and Aleks Dittman. He is also survived by his many great grandchildren.
