He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Wendt and Dorothy Wendt (Gilly); his wife Theresa Hoban; his son Kurt Wendt (Joy); his grandchildren, Kara Lay and Tyler Wendt (Lindsey); his daughter-in-law Terrie Wendt; and his children, Donald Wendt Jr. and Deborah. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
