With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty R. Wagner of Woodstock, Illinois, born in McHenry, Illinois, who passed away on March 17, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Schmitt and Margaret Schmitt (Freund); her husband Robert Wagner; and her brother Gordon Schmitt (Ginnie). She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Gyssler (Gary), Janet Leiker (Tom) and Diane Madsen (Andy); her grandchildren, Alan Gyssler (Kim), Grant Gyssler (Megan), Ashley Edwards (Brian), Rhiannon Terpstra (Nate), Shannon Combs (Jake), John Leiker (Kelli), Diana Leiker and Patrick Leiker (Allison); her great grandchildren, Emmett, Eleanor, Brandon, Lucy, Tessa, Blake, Joliene, Kiera, Lorelei, William, Nora, Finn and Cove; and her sisters, Jean Vogel, Phyllis White and Joyce Schwanke (Axel).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois.
