He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Opal (Lindsey); and his stepparents, Gladys Heider and Walt Fitch. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kreft; his sons, Brian and Bruce Dowey; his grandson Gunnar Dowey; his half-siblings, Shirley Norton, Edward Fitch (Cathy) and Larry Fitch; and his mother-in-law Lilian Kreft.
