He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim McDermott and Joanne McDermott. He is survived by: his wife Diana McDermott; his sons, Michael Block (Yulia), Jim McDermott and Ryan McDermott; his granddaughter Jane Block; and his brothers, Patrick McDermott (Pam), Joe McDermott (Kathy), Kevin McDermott and Dan McDermott (Helen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
