He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford G. Bird and Ruth E. Bird (Perrin). He is survived by: his wife Jenna Mathis; his children, Kelly S. McVey (Tim) of Galesburg and Michael Bird (Kayla) of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Luke McVey (Shannon), Dan McVey (Stephanie), Madelyn Bird and Meghan Bird; his great grandchildren, Trayson, Rylan and Hallack; and his brother Tom Bird of Alexis.
