He was predeceased by: his spouse Marilyn A. Volpe; his child Janet Pollett; and his grandchild Nicholas. He is survived by: his children, James Volpe (Tricia), Juliann, Pearson, Jennifer Gulley (Spencer) and Rosaria Volpe; his grandchildren, Nicole, Trevor, Billy, Mackenzie, James "Connor", Lucy, Joseph, Martha and Michael; and also Julian. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
