She was predeceased by: her spouse Russell Lewis; her parents, Evelyn Haase and Pete Haase; and her brother-in-law Harry. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Debra Taylor, Donna Lewis, Diane Armstrong (Steve) and Dawn Puhrmann (Gerry); her grandchildren, Aaron, Matthew, Sarah, Ian, Alyse, Evan, Nicole, Christopher, Elizabeth and Michele; her sister Marcia Nolan (Patrick); and her siblings-in-law, Beryl Evey (late James), Carol Kiemel (late Rindert) and Lenore Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Zion Lutheran Church, Hinsdale.

“I have known Carol since we worked at Chicago Title & Trust. It has been many years, but we continued to meet for lunch with our lunch bunch from our days at work. It was so difficult to hear of her passing! The Lord will take us when he is ready, and not when we are ready to go! My condolences to her family and friends. She will be missed.”
