He was predeceased by: his father Russell Lockwood; his father-in-law Alfred Koy; his brothers-in-law, Tony Alan Koy and Artie Meadows; and his nephew Allen Koy.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lockwood (Koy); his children, John R. Lockwood III of Woodlawn and Margaret RoseAnne Lockwood of Livingston, Montana; his sisters, Linda Meadows of Boyd and Ruth Eirhart (Rick) of Effingham, Illinois; his mother-in-law Mary Koy of Woodlawn; and his brother-in-law Raymond Koy of Woodlawn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
