She was predeceased by: her parents, George Slater and Theo Slater; her former spouse Jess Jackson; her husband Robert Kirkpatrick; her brother Clerance Slater; and her nephew Don Slater.
She is survived by: her great-nephews, Wayland Slater of Winnfield and Jay Slater (Vickie) of Raymond, Mississippi; and her great-niece Kathryn Slater of Winnfield, Louisiana. She is also survived by four great-great-nieces; two great-great-nephews.
