He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Ringberg and Mildred Ringberg (Huggins); his spouse Jean M. Vermeire; and his brother-in-law James Werthmann. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Stringer of St. Louis, Missouri; his children, Scott Ringberg (Kim) of Evansville, Wisconsin and Kim Ringberg (Dennis Johnson) of Geneseo, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jennifer Ringberg (Kathleen) of St. Louis, Mathew Ringberg (Katie) of Oquawka, Cody Wexell (Megan) of East Moline, Kyle Wexell (Felecia) of Bettendorf, Brett Wexell of Geneseo, Ben Gulliksen of Evansville and Connor Gulliksen (Kylie) of Norwalk, Wisconsin; his sister Judy Werthmann of Sun City, Arizona; and his brother-in-law Barry McVietty (Marilyn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
