He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Borkgren and Lila Swanson Borkgren; and his wife Martha Ann Egert. He is survived by: his sons, Jason Borkgren (Brandy) of Woodhull, Kyle Borkgren (Misty) of Alpha and Alex Borkgren (Kelly) of Woodhull; his grandchildren, Kendall, Seth, Vince, Bennett, Sydney, Taylor, Presley, Jayla and McKenna; his great grandchildren, Vivien, Garrett, Melody, Shania and Lenox; and his siblings, Chris Johnson (Mark) of Oak Park, Cheryl St (Jerry) and Randy Borkgren (Terri) of Cambridge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home (525 N Division St, Woodhull, IL 61490). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (380 W 3rd Ave, Woodhull, IL 61490).
Memorial contributions may be left to the Bethany Lutheran Church, Woodhull Cemetery Association, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
