He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Spivey and Shirley Spivey (Loveridge). He is survived by: his wife Janice Spivey of Woodhull; his daughter Denise Barman (Kurt) of Alpha, Illinois; his stepchildren, Crystal Casteel of Fairview Heights, Illinois and Andrew Baker of Galesburg; his grandchildren, Marissa Medford (James), Cody, Chase Casteel, Kyle and Grace Barman; and his brothers, Allen Spivey (Linda) of Winters and Blaine Spivey (Sharon) of Galesburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to donor's choice of charity.
