She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick "Brink" Nelson and Francis Johnson Nelson; her husband Donald A. Nelson; her granddaughter Hilary; her siblings, Darlene Waugh and Dale Nelson; and her son-in-law Jim Jensen.

She is survived by: her children, Sherry Griffin (Bill) of Galesburg, Deb Jensen of Woodhull and Rick Nelson (Julie) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Chris, Sam, Sarah, Catherine and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Molly, Sadie, Addie, Madison, Piper, Gracie, Garrett, William, Henry, Cooper, Charley, Owen, Ryan and Rose.
