It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winson D. Allen of Wood River, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harold, Cora Allen of Centralia and Eld. He is survived by: his parent Jerry Allen; his wife Gail; his daughter Brittany Allen of Brentwood, California; his mother Dorothy Burton Allen (Burton) of Arlington, Texas; his brother Jerome D. Allen (Vickie) of Ovilla, Texas; his aunts and uncles, Larry Allen of Bethalto, Wilbur Burton (Ann) of Manteno, Illinois, Irmadell Loyd of Mt. Vernon and Vickie Burton; his nephews, Rickie Evaristo and Victor Hooper; and his aunts and uncles, Bill Jr., Harel, Carroll, Donald Burton, Elwood Loyd, Harold Goin, Phyllis, Marcella, Mary, Geri and Nadine.

Attendees are asked to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, and will be accepted at the service or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 130, Dix, Illinois 62830.
