He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Chaney and Ottilia Chaney (Wickenhauser); and his brothers, William Sherman, Joseph Sherman, James Chaney and Robert Chaney.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rosalie (Gary Boyd), Marilyn Chaney of Alton and Michael; and his sister-in-law Cindy Chaney of Alton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
