It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia R. Heigert (Wood River, Illinois), born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chauncey Wakeford and Mary Wakeford (Blaine); her husband Harry A. Heigert, Jr.; and her brother Larry Wakeford. She is survived by: her daughter Stacy; her son-in-law Dan Moore of Joliet; her son Stephen; her daughter-in-law Rebekka Heigert of Roxana; her grandchildren, Andrew Heigert, Emma Cohen, Ava Hileman and Tyler Moore; her grandchild-in-law Jackie; her grandchild Courtney Madsen; her great grandchild Lennox; her brother Jim; and her sister-in-law Yonhwa Wakeford of East Alton. She is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
Due to the current CDC guidelines, face masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
