She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard "Buck" Woodrow and Ida Harriett Davis (Ellard); her brothers, Walter "Bert" Taylor, Merritt Taylor and Robert Davis; her nephew William Thomas Hancock, Jr.; and her niece Sabra Raulston.
She is survived by: her husband James Short; her son Randy Short (Doris) of Salem; her stepdaughter Dee Roam (Roy) of Wood River; and her sisters, Nancy Kivett (Merle) of Dorsey and Anita Huber (Paul) of Elsah.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society (ASPCA) of Alton 5 A's.
