She was predeceased by: her parents, Tadashi Masuda and Haruyo Masuda (Kiramasu); her husband Cecil Downing, Sr.; and her brother Toshikazu. She is survived by: her children, Helen (Lonnie Eyers), Arlene Downing of Tucson, Cecil (Ruth Downing, Jr.), Earl Downing of Cottage Hills and Quentin (Tammy Downing); her grandchildren, Chessie Brame (Mike), Tiffany Huff (Jason), Kris Newman (Ryan), Tara Determan, Cecil R. Downing (Andrea), Shawn Downing (Cathy), Sabrina Redmon (Eric), Sandy Schmitt (Dominik), Brandy Clark (Steve), Josh Downing (Nathan), Ryan Fenstermaker (Casey) and Kyle Fenstermaker; and her great grandchildren, Eleanor Brame, Lincoln Brame, Mya Eyers, Kiersten Huff, Kennedy Newman, Max Newman, Emersyn Newman, Pearl Determan, Daisy Determan, Wolfie Determan, Brandon Downing, Ryan Downing, Tyler Downing, Savannah Downing, Aaliyah Downing, Adrianna Redmon, Ash Redmon, Cameron Lawrence, Mikaila Munster (Tiernan), Kareena Hunter, Noah Clark, Logan Fenstermaker, Travis Fenstermaker, Amelia Fenstermaker and Gracelyn Fenstermaker. She is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Covid Unit at Alton Memorial Hospital for their care and kindness while taking care of our mother. Due to the current CDC guidelines, face masks are required and social distancing is requested.
