She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Cannedy and Thelma; her husband Ronald P. "Ron" Sands; her grandson Justin Sands; her stepfather Joe Vandeveer; and her brother Bob.
She is survived by: her son Greg; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Sands of Godfrey; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Carly Sands) and Josie Sands of Godfrey; her brother Gary Cannedy of Godfrey; her niece Deanna Barnes; and her nephew Brad Sands (Lori Dean). She is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
