It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Louise Kissack (Wood River, Illinois), who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert D. Kissack; her parents, Jule Levin and Blanche Levin; and her brothers, George "Sonny" Levin and Bob Levin.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen; her son-in-law Randy Roberts; her son Bob; her daughter-in-law Judy Kissack; her grandchildren, Laurie Myers (John), Jeff Brummett (Noelle) and Kristie Shelby (Jason); her great grandchildren, Elise, Claire, Johnny Myers, Declan, Delaney Brummett, Beckham, Bodhi and Boone Shelby; her brother Melvin Levin (Phyllis); and her close friend Bill Hanselman.
After retiring, she continued to make children smile, by sewing nearly 6000 Barbie dresses, sewing many, many stuffed bears for St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights, and by making over 700 Covid masks for the many residents at Meridian Village.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Methodist in Rosewood Heights or to the Roxana Schools Foundation and will be accepted at the services.
