He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCarthy and Emma McCarthy (Bilbruck); his daughter Elizabeth McCarthy; and his brother Charles McCarthy. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Wayne (John) of Edwardsville; his stepgrandson Trey Wayne; and his siblings, Thomas McCarthy of South Jacksonville, IL, John McCarthy of Lakeland, FL and Mary Schwab of Carlinville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
