The memory of James Lair (Wood River, Illinois), who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 67, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy James leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lindell Lair and Glenda Mae Lair (Watson); his wife Jo Lynne Portwood; and his brothers, Gary Lair of Virden and John Lair of Poplar Bluff, MO.. He was also cherished by two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a step-great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
