He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sutton and Moreen Sutton (Stevens); and his brother Carl Sutton. He is survived by: his wife Rita Hanfelder; his children, Linda Weller of Wood River and Jeffrey Sutton of South Roxana; his grandchildren, Nicholas (Elizabeth Sutton), Allyssa (Jonathan Walker), Christine Weller and Caleb Sutton; his great grandchildren, Anna, Mercedes, Sebastian, Ari, Lara, Isaiah, Gideon, Mae, Millie and Bethany; his siblings, Shirley Kleeman of Rosewood Heights and Bill; and his sister-in-law Diana Sutton of Bethalto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Due to the current Covid – 19 restrictions, private funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Wood River.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
