He was predeceased by: his father James Everett; and his siblings, Eli John Gholson, Evelyn Bredewill and Emma Lou Smith. He is survived by: his children, Laurel Heitzman (Joe) of Rosewood Heights, IL, Kathy Marie Gholson of Wood River and Mark Edward Gholson of Wood River; his grandchildren, Holly Lorraine Heitzman of Plainfield, IL and Joshua Paul Heitzman (Amber) of Granite City, IL; his great grandchild Heidi Louise; and his sister Brenda Vinyard (Dennis) of Edwardsville, IL..
