He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin Freeman and Naomi Ruth Hinson (Dillon); his wife Sue Ellyn Hamm; his brothers, Howard Hinson and Larry (Janice Hinson); and his brothers-in-law, Pat Hamm and Louie Spano.
He is survived by: his children, Kraig Hinson (Stephanie) of East Alton, Kelli Fletcher (Jeff) and Kristi Hinson; his grandson Christopher Tite (Megan); his great grandchildren, Claire, Lane, Chloe and Luke Tite; his siblings, Charles Hinson (Janice) of Reno, NV, Beverly Leitner of Wood River and Nancy Spano of Wood River; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Vassolo (Vince) and Karen Hamm. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River where he had been a member for 65 years and served as an elder for over 40 years.
