He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hampton and Elnora Hampton (Davis); his wife Helen Louise Admire; and his siblings, Henry, Arthur, Harold, Charles, Dale Hampton, Emily Kahl, Mary Cook, Martha Remus, Virginia McMahan, Myrtle and Myra Hampton.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Hampton (Karen) of Crestwood, MO, Kathie Wilfong of Wickliffe, KY, Beverly Michiaels of Roxana and Paula Berry of Godfrey; and his siblings, John Hampton of Springfield and Jane Oller of Auburn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
