He was predeceased by: his parents, William Owen and Eve H. Bagby (Barton); his wife Betty Lee Downey; his son William "Buster" Bagby; and his sisters, Dewel Sippel, Wanda Pyle, Doris Harlan and Betty Bagby.

He is survived by: his sister Virginia Heeren (Ed) of Mission Viejo, CA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
