He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerald Dean and Joyce Verlee Bort (Heuer); and his sisters, Cara Stearns and Teri Ann Bort. He is survived by: his wife Sabrina Politte; his daughter Heather Brown of Wood River; his brother-in-law Kelly Stearns of Edwardsville; and his nephews, Sam Stearns, Spencer Stearns and Simon Stearns.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (1327 Vaughn Rd #1890, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Riverbend Humane Society.
