It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Smithberg (Wood River, Illinois), who passed away on July 25, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Bailey and Anna Marie Bailey (Hill); her husband Joseph E. Smithberg, Jr.; and her brother Lonnie Bailey. She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Ruminer of South Roxana and Kristi (Keith Pennington); her grandchildren, Brandon Strader, J. J. Pennington and Anson Pennington; her brother Ronald; and her sister-in-law Kathy Bailey of Yulee. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
