He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luke Prather and Lucille Prather (Snoddy); his wife Mary Prather (Mousette) of Wood River; his children, Cary Prather of Wood River, Kirk Prather (Stacy) of Godfrey and Jennifer Hunter (Rob) of Montana; his grandchildren, Sean Prather (Erin), Noah, Dakota, Sarah Prater, Julia Mathis (Jessie), Tate, Sam and Kelsey Hunter; his sons-in-law, Bill "Gurk" VanHoose (Lisa) and Mike VanHoose (Missy); and his brother Tommy Lee Prather.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions private services will be held Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.
