She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Dickens and Martha Dickens (Overall); and her siblings, Dennis "Pete", John "Johnny", Jerry, David "Ed" Dickens, Rosemary Spink, Glenda Ruth Dickens and Anita Hall.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Brown (Tammy) of Bethalto, Angel Davis of East Alton, Karrie Ridder of Fosterburg, Melodie Boulware (Paul) of Edwardsville and Paula LeCrone (Mark) of Centralia; and her siblings, Rustin Hall, Cary Dickens, Deborah Hall, Juanita Dickens-Lee and Alice Dickens-May. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.

She had worked as a Job Coach for the Life Skills Foundation.
