It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Carrera of Wood Dale, Illinois, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Humberto Manuel Carrera and Lelah Gladys Weiss; and his brothers, Manuel Jr. (Avis) and Thomas (MaryAnn). He is survived by: his wife Judith (Darby); his children, Nathan, Alison Abreu (Jose), Emily Phamornsuwana (Sarn) and Justin (Jegie); his grandchildren, Jose Jr., Cecilia and Enrique; his siblings, Richard (Delores), Esther, Mary Terrones and David; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie, Todd Heuer, Roger, Donna Darby, LeRoy and Deb Darby.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the Lake Geneva Youth Camp, Lake Geneva WI, or the Les Turner ALS Foundation in Skokie, IL.
