With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Taft of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, born in Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on December 14, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Taft and Viola Taft (Kulbeck); and his brothers, Dave Taft and Don Taft. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Taft (Blagg); his children, Heather Taft and William J. Taft (Rachel); his grandchildren, Jaclyn, Marilyn, Vivian and William; and his siblings, Linda Lapham and Tim Taft. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Winthrop Harbor Police Association would be appreciated in Bill's honor.
