He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nissen and Pauline Nissen; his wife Donna Shirling; and his siblings, Betty, Claire, Sharon, Bev and Darv.
He is survived by: his son Kevin R. Nissen of Park Ridge, IL; his uncle Glenn Davis; his friend Bill; his son Tim Nissen (Melissa); his grandchildren, Daulton, Briana, Emma and Alec; his great grandchildren, Nova and Hudson Alvarez; and his sister Kathy Martin of Winthrop Harbor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
