He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Wayne Gerdes (Marian) and Kim Sandretto (Dan); his grandchildren, Dylan Sandretto (Tanya), Scott Gerdes (Brianna), Marshall Sandretto (Taylor), Mark Heavey (Heather) and Michelle Heavey-Oliveri (Jeff); his great grandchildren, Layla Gerdes, Luciano Oliveri and Anthony Hurtado; and his brother Ronald Gerdes (Eddy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
