He was predeceased by: his father Harry Schmidt; his parents-in-law, Jack and Lucille Dutton; and his brother-in-law John Dutton. He is survived by: his mother Pat Schmidt; his wife LuAnn Schmidt; his brother Dan Schmidt (Deborah); his nieces, Kristin, Kara, Pamela and Tiffany; and his close friend Ed "The Fed" Buffum.
