He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janice Funk; his children, Carolyn Funk, Robert Funk, Katherine Walsh (Jack) and Thomas Funk; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jack and Kate Walsh; and his brother Wayne Funk (Joan).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Ave., Winnetka, IL 60093.
