He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schiro and Frances Schiro (Armato); and his brothers-in-law, Frank Cologgi and Ted Just. He is survived by: his wife Francine Cologgi; his children, Joseph Schiro (Sarah), Marie Schiro-Marroquin (Louie), Rose Mary Schiro, Magdalena Luke (Marc) and Andrea Senese (Jim); his grandchildren, Thomas, John, Abby Schiro, Francine Marroquin, Vincenzio Rodriguez, Angelo Mendez, Mary, Robert Luke, Sarah, Kevin and Gianna Senese; his siblings, Sam Schiro (Sue), Jack Schiro (Jan) and Fran Gomez (Armando); and his sister-in-law Mary Cologgi. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Tony Gasparini Funeral Chapel (4301 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61103). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Anthony of Padua Church (1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL 61102). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (8616 W State Rd, Winnebago, IL 61088).
