With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Jean Burkhart of Winnebago, Illinois, born in Rochelle, Illinois, who passed away on June 24, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Morris and Anna Maxine Calhoun (Rasmussen); her husband Art Burkhart; her son Randy Burkhart; her siblings, LeRoy Calhoun, Delores "Dee" Swigart and Patricia "Patsy" Cline; her siblings-in-law, Linda Calhoun, Arlene Calhoun, Raeford "Shorty" Cline, Harold Burkhart (Sis) and Lester Burkhart (Elsie); and her nephews, Alan Burkhart and Mike Cunningham.
She is survived by: her son Dan Burkhart (Laurie) of Winnebago; her granddaughters, Heidi Harris (Andrew) of Roscoe and Holli Burkhart of Loves Park; her great grandchildren, Taylor and Natalie Harris; her siblings, James "Mick" Calhoun of Rockford and Karen Koch (Rick) of Sarasota, FL; her brother-in-law Jim Swigart of Winnebago; her friend Larry Christen (Kay); and also Cal Miley (Kathy). She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
