It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James D. Barton of Winnebago, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Barton and Leila E. Barton Sr. (Thomasson); his wife Christa M. Chaney; his great grandchild Jahseh; and his sister-in-law Marge.
He is survived by: his children, Brandon and Erin (Hector); his grandchildren, Eneida, Everley and Wrenna; his great grandchild Elonna; his brother John (Kathy); and his close friends, Terry and Rich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America in James' name.
