It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold O. Schewe (Winnebago, Illinois), born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Schewe and Naomi Schewe (Hartwig); his parents-in-law, Herman and Betty; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Schewe and Lee Dickson.

He is survived by: his wife Jill Schewe (Rose); his son Andrew Schewe; his siblings, Barbara Jorgenson (James), Wayne Schewe, Beverly Dickson, Brian Schewe (Jenny) and Bruce Schewe (Melanie Ferguson); and his brothers-in-law, Dana Rose (Susan) and Mark Rose (Janus).

“Harold and Jill were awesome neighbors. We remained friends even though they moved to Winnebago. Harold would watch me try to start my snowblower for a minute and then he would ask me if i wanted him to start it for me or come over and blow the drive for me. I had him come over to start it and we ended up plowing our own and several neighbors. We also played cards together. Being around Harold was always a highlight in my life and I will always miss him. With love, Cathy Sundberg”
