It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Whelchel (Winnebago, Illinois), born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on May 14, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Haller and Marjorie Haller; and her siblings, Lynn Stanton and Larry Haller. She is survived by: her husband Randy Whelchel; her children, Bridget Creswell (Ben) and Derrick Whelchel (Laura); her grandchildren, Jalen (Tayler Whelchel), Reese, Natalie (Kaylie Creswell) and Erin (Evyan Sissum); her great grandchild Kynzlee Harek; her siblings, Susan Smith (Jerry) and Steven Haller; and her pets, Mitzy, Brewski and Brandy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

They provided outstanding care and were there to hold her hand and comfort her when we couldn't be there due to Covid 19.
