She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Smith and Lillian Smith. She is survived by: her stepdaughter Sharon Howard (Tom) of Florida; her nieces and nephews, Julie Smith, Tamara Smith, William Smith and Terry Smith; her stepgrandchildren, Dawn Griswold, Kim Howard, Dan Griswold, Jeff Hayenga and Laura Hayenga; her siblings, Stan Smith, Donald Smith and Ellen; her nephew Joel; and her stepchildren, Shirley Griswold and Phil Hayenga. She is also survived by nine step-great-grandchildren; and many cousins.
