He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gallagher and Eileen Gallagher; his wife Donna Barowski; his grandsons, Michael and Kevin Byrne; and his brothers, Dr. Joseph Gallagher and Jack Gallagher.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Vician of Winfield, IL, Laura Dunne of Elburn, IL, Patricia Heffern (Patrick) of Naperville, IL and Thomas Gallagher (Lory) of Wheaton, IL.; his grandchildren, Dennis McNamara, Elizabeth Bazan (Juan), Susanna Roy (Micah), Christine Vankooten (Mark Hornback), Matt Byrne, Abby Valerio (Anthony), Megan Fox (CJ), Ryan Byrne, Hannah Scholtens (Bradley), Liam Gallagher and Weston Gallagher; and his great grandchildren, James, Leah, Luke, Eliana, Hailey, Gabriel, Anthony, Cora, Michael, Deklan, Nicholas, Charlie, Victoria and Natalie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Tunnels to Towers.
