He was loved and cherished by many people including: his fathers, Robert L. Murphy and Austin Doyle; his child Shanarah Carpenter; his siblings, Karen Mills (Frank), Daniel Murphy and Richard Murphy (Carol); his nephews, Stephen Mills (Kelly), Christopher Mills (Ashley), Douglas Murphy and Joseph Murphy; his niece Alicia Murphy; and his cousin Pam McClean.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Michael's name to the American Cancer Society.
