Danny Ray Johnson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2022, at the age of 69, Danny Ray Johnson of Winfield, Illinois, born in Forest City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheryl Gayle Johnson (Hutson) and Maurice Conway Johnson; his friend Roy Fielding; his son Danny Jr.; his aunt Glennis Kriglstein; his mother-in-law Pina Gulino; and his brother-in-law Paul Saporito.
He is survived by: his former wife Debra Andrews; his wife Rose; his children, Corey Johnson (Meagan) of Boone, Angela Johnson Reier of Davenport, Steven Wright (Lindsay) of Lombard and Katelyn Wright of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Connor, Amelia, Ava, Quinn Daniel, Lincoln, Gwendolyn, Trevor and Jaxson; his siblings, Linda Struyk (Steve) and Michael Johnson (Kathy); his uncle Charles Kriglstein; his father-in-law Emilio Gulino; his sister-in-law Cristina McDermott (Brendan); his godchildren, Gabriello and Olivia McDermott; and also, Corey and Mark Czarny. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The COVID pandemic and Dan's final months brought them near constant companionship and what was very apparent to both of them was that was all they needed — each other.
